Call: Stoke (01782) 639716 ... for a fast, professional, friendly service.
Our Home-Visit LPA service is designed to:
- a registered Lasting Power of Attorney (if we are appointed to arranging registration); or
- an unregistered Lasting Power of Attorney that can be registered in the future (if we are not appointed to arrange registration);
for our clients; and
- to make the process of making each Lasting Power of Attorney as hassle free as possible for each client.
Features
With the above objectives in mind our Home-Visit Lasting Power of Attorney (referred to hereinafter as “LPA”) service provides the following features and benefits:
- Quality Product: Your finished LPA Property and Affairs and/or LPA Health and Welfare will be printed on high grade paper.
- Advice: Our home-visit consultant will use his many years of experience to guide you through the areas where you are unsure of the best solution. This includes inserting the appropriately worded restrictions and guidance notes for attorneys, and the best combination of attorney and replacement attorney to make the document ‘best value for money’.
- Home visit: We come to your home rather than you coming to us - thus saving you travel time and costs.
- Flexible appointments: We will happily see you when you wish to see us. This could be during the day, in the evening, or at the weekend. Thus we do not interfere too much with your own busy schedule.
- Comprehensive: The instruction-taking meeting is comprehensive. We explain how the documents work, and the registration process, before taking the client’s instructions. As a result you will not need to undertake any research prior to our arrival but will have peace of mind knowing that all of the aspects you should have been made aware of will have been advised to you.
- Face to face: Our meetings are friendly, helpful, and professional. Our jargon-free language will make it easy for you to understand what we are discussing.
- Two visits (minimum): Our first visit is to note your instructions. The second visit is to oversee the completion of your documents.
- Certificate provider: We act as the donor’s Certificate Provider. We undertake the necessary checks to prove that the donor is of sound mind at the time making the document, and not under any undue influence in doing so. We retain the evidence on file should there ever be a query by the Office of the Public Guardian.
- Experience: We have been creating and registering these documents since they came into place in 2007.
- The process: We will ‘hold your hand’ throughout the process, offering advice and guidance when required. You will be advised of what to expect next, and when.
- Document execution: We oversee the signing of the LPAs to ensure they are completed correctly. We act as your witness to these documents.
- Speedy production: We have set time-scales for the production of your LPA summary and printed LPA documents.
- OPG Queries: We deal with the Office of the Public Guardian on your behalf should they have a query concerning your LPA. This avoids you having the hassle of contacting them.
- OPG registration: If instructed by you we will oversee the registration of the LPA at the Office of the Public Guardian.
- Fee remission and exemptions: Where your circumstances mean that you qualify for a fee remission or a fee exemption in the fees charged by the Office of the Public Guardian we will submit the appropriate documentation and evidence on your behalf to qualify for these valuable discounts.
- Fees: Our fees are one of the lowest in the sector. And the value for money increases with the more products that are purchased. For example a single LPA costs £120 (without registration), but if a husband and wife each purchased two LPAs (making a total of 4 altogether) our fees are just £180 i.e. £45 each.
