Our home-visit services involves us travelling to you - and usually this requires two trips: the first to take your instructions for your documents; and the second to oversee the signing of your prepared documents. A third visit may be required if you are using our services to make your LPAs. Our travel costs (i.e. our time driving and fuel costs) increase the greater the distance we have to travel.
We used to absorb these higher costs - but with both our travel costs and the volume of clients requesting our services from outside of our target area increasing this is no longer practical. In line with our over-reaching policy that each service and each client should [as far as is practically possible] cover their costs and not subsidise others, we now apply an additional charge to visit clients who are outside of our ‘local’ area.
Note however that even with these additional costs you may still find our fees and travel costs combined are better value than those charged by more local will-provider.
Our Travel Cost Bands 1, 2, 3 and 4
We have 4 travel bands.
Band 1 - £0
Band 1 comprises the following post codes.
- Post codes areas of ST1 to ST9, ST11, ST12, ST15 , i.e. the Staffordshire towns of Barlaston, Blythe Bridge, Burslem, Cheadle, Fenton, Hanley, Kidsgrove, Longton, Newcastle under Lyme, Stoke-
on- Trent, Stone, and Talke; and the Cheshire towns of Alsager - Post code areas of CW1 to CW5, CW11, CW12; i.e. the Cheshire towns of Congleton, Crewe, Holmes Chapel, Nantwich, and Sandbach;
- Post code area of TF9 i.e. Market Drayton.
- and the outskirts of those towns and villages.
If you live in any of the above post code areas the Travel Cost supplement is £0.
Band 2 - £20
Band 2 comprises the following post codes.
Post codes areas of ST13, ST14, ST16, ST17, ST18, i.e. the Staffordshire towns of Leek, Oakamoor, Uttoxeter, and Stafford
Post code areas of CW7, CW10 i.e. the Cheshire Towns of Middlewich and Winsford;
Post code areas of SK11 i.e. The Cheshire town of Macclesfield (South area)
If you live in any of the above post codes the Travel Cost supplement is £20.
Band 3 - £40
Band 3 comprises the following post codes.
Post-code areas ST19, ST20; CW6, CW8; SK8, SK9, SK10, SK12, SK17; DE14, WS15; and TF10
i.e. the Staffordshire towns of Burton-on-Trent, Penkridge, Gnosall, Lichfield, Rugeley, Uttoxeter; and
the Cheshire towns of Macclesfield, Northwich, Tarporley, Wilmslow and the Shropshire towns of Telford.
If you live in any of the above post codes the Travel Cost supplement is £40.
Band 4 - £POA (Price on application)
If your post-code is not listed in any of the above bands then please call us for a quote.
